How Facets compares with other tools

Facets beside the tools buyers weigh it against, one product line at a time and then one tool at a time. Every fact about another tool was checked on that vendor’s own public pages, and every price is printed in the vendor’s own unit, never converted into ours.

Checked against each vendor’s public pages on . Each comparison lists its sources at its foot.

How Facets is priced

Each product line is priced in the unit it is used in. Other tools’ prices are on the pages above, in their own units.

Engagement surveys

An engagement cycle is priced once per survey of the whole organization, by headcount: from $999 up to 100 employees to $9,499 up to 2,500. A second cycle in the same calendar year is 60% of list.

360 feedback

A Leadership 360 is $99 a leader, its follow-up pulse included. The Practitioner plan includes as many as a coach runs.

Team assessments for coaches

A team survey is $199 a run for one team of 3 to 12 people, or $349 for a year of runs. A coach on the Practitioner plan pays $89 a month, with 4 team runs a month and unlimited Leadership 360s.

Reviews and 1:1s

The manager tools are $7 a manager a month billed annually, or $10 billed monthly. The people a manager tracks are never counted or charged. The Organization plan starts at 5 managers and falls to $5 a manager a month.

Project tools

Projects come with a manager's seat: the manager pays, and up to 50 people on a project join by a personal link with no account and no charge.

  • The team survey, its pulse, the Leadership 360 and its follow-up pulse can go by Slack or Microsoft Teams direct message where the organization chooses it, with the email for anyone Slack cannot find. Each person's page says how their link came.
  • Workload shows how full each person's coming weeks are against the hours a week noted for them, across projects and work tracked in other tools.
  • Microsoft Power BI can read a manager's projects, goals and Workload through a read-only feed, under a key only that manager holds.
  • When a workspace removes Slack or revokes its access, every owner and admin is told at once, by email and on the dashboard. Before a cycle opens, a reach check counts how many on its roster Slack can find, and keeps only the counts.
  • A manager can send a project's tasks to a basic Microsoft Planner plan shared with a group, through their own Microsoft 365 work account. Completing a task on either side completes it on the other at the next check.
  • Microsoft Entra ID or Okta can keep a survey roster through SCIM 2.0. Facets previews the changes and applies them when an owner or admin confirms, and offers a manager the people it says report to them.
  • Every member of an engagement cycle, however large, can be invited and reminded by direct message, with the email for anyone not reached within six hours. Anyone can ask for email instead, from a link in any message.
  • Engagement cycles can be answered in Spanish as well as English, one language a cycle. A language model translated the Spanish, which was then back-translated and reconciled.
  • An engagement cycle's invitations and reminders can go as a direct message in the organization's own Slack or Teams, with the email for anyone not reached.
  • The person a manager meets for 1:1s can add topics to the agenda through a personal link, without an account.
  • A manager's own Slack or Teams channel can be told about survey results and checks due, and an engagement cycle can have a channel of its own.
  • A Leadership 360 includes a follow-up pulse 60 to 90 days after the brief, and compares the brief with the leader's last review.
  • A team keeps a working agreement after its debrief, and each person can choose which behavior to work on.
  • Beneath an engagement cycle's written summary, the organization sees options from a cited library.
  • A getting-started checklist and tour walk a new account through setting up.
  • A manager can record growth and stay conversations, and email a calendar invitation for a repeating 1:1.
  • You can sign in with a passkey.
  • Projects can be imported from Microsoft Project and exported for it, as XML.
  • Each of a practitioner's clients can have a workspace of its own, with the practice's name and logo beside ours. A debrief can be run in the product, and practitioners gained the program report and the facilitator kit.

How these comparisons are made

  1. Every fact about another tool was read on that vendor’s own public pages. Each comparison lists the pages and the day they were read at its foot.
  2. Where we did not find a feature, the table says “Not listed”: it may exist. “No” appears only where the vendor itself says so.
  3. Prices are printed in each vendor’s own unit and currency, never converted. A price read more than 120 days ago is not printed; the vendor’s pricing page is linked in its place.
  4. Facets’ own figures are read from the price list and the rules the product runs on, so they change when the product does.
  5. Every comparison says where another tool fits better. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
