Where Lattice fits better

From what Lattice’s own pages say, line by line:

Engagement surveys

  • Lattice. Lattice sets engagement scores beside benchmarks built on Mercer data. Employees can answer surveys in its iOS and Android apps, and notices reach Slack and Microsoft Teams.

360 feedback

  • Lattice. Lattice collects self, peer and upward reviews inside the same cycles as its performance reviews, for a company that wants 360 input in formal reviews.

Reviews and 1:1s

  • Lattice. Lattice puts reviews, goals, 1:1s and engagement surveys in one product, with iOS and Android apps. Its 1:1 agendas are shared, so both people add topics and track action items.

Where Facets is different

  • Priced per manager, from one manager. A manager with eight reports pays the Manager plan's $7 a month, billed annually ($84 a year), and the eight people are never charged. A single manager can hold a seat on their own; the Organization plan is for five managers or more.
  • Assessments where the manager chooses the rating. Quarterly and end-of-year assessments start from the manager’s own answers and written input from up to ten colleagues. A model drafts from both; the manager chooses the performance band and writes why, and the model never picks it.
  • 1:1s on the calendar you already use. A 1:1 repeats every 1, 2 or 4 weeks, the person gets an emailed calendar invitation, and 1:1s, check-ins and other key dates show on one calendar feed you can follow in Outlook or another calendar app.
  • Engagement cycles bought one at a time. An engagement cycle is priced once per survey of the whole organization, by headcount: from $999 up to 100 employees to $9,499 up to 2,500. A second cycle in the same calendar year is 60% of list. Two cycles in a year at 100 people cost $999 and $599, $1,598 in all: about $1.33 a person a month. Every group’s score comes with a 95% range, and a change since the last cycle is marked only when it is reliable.
  • A Leadership 360 for one leader. A Leadership 360 is $99 a leader, and anyone can buy and run one. The leader predicts their ratings first, and raters’ comments are summarized in other words, never quoted. Since 29 October 2026 it includes a follow-up pulse 60 to 90 days after the brief.

Using both

Facets does not have to replace Lattice. Its surveys are bought one at a time, so a company that keeps Lattice Performance for reviews can still run a Facets team survey for one team of 3 to 12 people, a Leadership 360 for one leader, or an engagement cycle, without a second subscription.

What a Facets survey finds stays out of performance records. Team survey and engagement answers do not move into the manager tools; the one route is a Leadership 360 summary the leader chooses to send.

Questions

Is Facets an alternative to Lattice?
For parts of it. Lattice sells engagement surveys, reviews, goals and 1:1s in one product, priced per seat. Facets sells engagement cycles and Leadership 360s one at a time, and its manager tools per manager.
How do Facets' prices compare with Lattice's?
Lattice's pages list Engagement at $4 a seat a month, billed annually, with a minimum of $4,000 a year. At Facets an engagement cycle is $999 for up to 100 employees, and the manager tools are $7 a manager a month, billed annually.
Does every employee need a Facets seat?
No. In Facets the seat is the manager's: the people a manager leads never sign in, never need an account and are never charged. On Lattice's pages: priced per seat.
Are Facets' engagement surveys anonymous?
They are confidential, not anonymous. Facets links each response to the person who gave it, so they can finish later and answer only once. Nobody with an account can read another person's answers as written, and no group shows until at least five people answer.
Can I try Facets before buying?
Yes: the Manager plan has a 30-day trial, and an engagement cycle or a Leadership 360 can be bought on its own, one at a time. On Lattice's pages: demo on request; an interactive tour.
