We do not sell anyone’s information, and we do not share it in the sense the US state privacy laws use — we buy advertising on Google to bring people here and measure which of those ads worked, but we build no audiences from visitors and show no advertising on this site. So there is no statutory opt-out to give you here. The control below turns off our measurement anyway, because you should not have to be owed a right to be given one.

None of this touches survey answers, ratings or comments. The advertising tag runs on the public pages of this site and on nothing else — not on the app, and not on any page where someone answers a question about themselves or a colleague. What Google receives is that a browser visited a marketing page. What is on this page is the only thing there is to opt out of.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out automatically, on every page, without you visiting this one. That is the option we would suggest: it applies everywhere rather than to one browser on one device, and it cannot be undone by clearing your cookies.

A GPC signal turns off analytics as well as advertising, which is more than the law strictly requires. We do it because our analytics is linked to our advertising, and separating them would make the promise depend on a setting in someone else’s console.

The privacy policy lists every cookie we set and what each one is for.
