Where Culture Amp fits better

From what Culture Amp’s own pages say, line by line:

Engagement surveys

  • Culture Amp. Culture Amp sends survey invitations and reminders through Slack and Microsoft Teams, for a company that works in either. It compares your results with other organizations in its benchmark database. Its help center lists many survey languages, which suits a workforce that does not share one.

360 feedback

  • Culture Amp. Culture Amp runs leadership, manager and individual effectiveness 360s in Perform, beside its reviews, for a company that wants them in one place.

Reviews and 1:1s

  • Culture Amp. Culture Amp's AI Coach helps managers draft and refine reviews, and every plan includes Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations. Its 360s and engagement surveys sit in the same platform as its reviews.

Where Facets is different

  • Engagement cycles bought one at a time. An engagement cycle is priced once per survey of the whole organization, by headcount: from $999 up to 100 employees to $9,499 up to 2,500. A second cycle in the same calendar year is 60% of list. Two cycles in a year at 100 people cost $999 and $599, $1,598 in all: about $1.33 a person a month.
  • A range on every score. Every group’s score comes with a 95% range, how far it could move by chance, and a change since the last cycle is marked only when it is reliable. A group appears once five people have answered, or more if you raise the floor when you set up the cycle, and a group that could be worked out by subtraction is hidden too.
  • A conversation after the results. In a cycle that lets managers see their own group, each manager whose group is published can hold a 30-minute team conversation, choosing from a library of 27 cited options, and the team’s commitments are checked six weeks later. Since 29 October 2026, options to consider also appear beneath the cycle’s written summary.
  • A Leadership 360 for one leader. A Leadership 360 is $99 a leader, and anyone can buy and run one. The leader predicts their ratings first, and raters’ comments are summarized in other words, never quoted. Since 29 October 2026 it includes a follow-up pulse 60 to 90 days after the brief, and a review that follows an earlier one is compared with it.
  • Manager tools priced per manager. A manager with eight reports pays the Manager plan's $7 a month, billed annually ($84 a year), and the eight people are never charged. In quarterly and end-of-year assessments a model drafts, and the manager chooses the rating.

Using both

Facets does not have to replace Culture Amp. Its surveys are bought one at a time, so a company that keeps Culture Amp Perform for reviews can still run a Facets team survey for one team of 3 to 12 people, a Leadership 360 for one leader, or an engagement cycle, without a second subscription.

What a Facets survey finds stays out of performance records. Team survey and engagement answers do not move into the manager tools; the one route is a Leadership 360 summary the leader chooses to send.

Questions

Is Facets an alternative to Culture Amp?
For parts of it. Culture Amp sells engagement surveys, 360s and reviews in one platform, priced by quote. Facets sells engagement cycles and Leadership 360s one at a time, and its manager tools per manager.
How do Facets' prices compare with Culture Amp's?
Culture Amp's pricing page asks you to request a quote. At Facets an engagement cycle is $999 for up to 100 employees, a Leadership 360 is $99 a leader, and the manager tools are $7 a manager a month, billed annually.
Does Facets compare our results with other companies?
No. Facets offers no external benchmarks: each group is compared with its own last cycle, and a change is marked only when it is reliable. Culture Amp's pages list benchmarking.
Are Facets' engagement surveys anonymous?
They are confidential, not anonymous. Facets links each response to the person who gave it, so they can finish later and answer only once. Nobody with an account can read another person's answers as written, and no group shows until at least five people answer.
Can I try Facets before buying?
Yes: the Manager plan has a 30-day trial, and an engagement cycle or a Leadership 360 can be bought on its own, one at a time. On Culture Amp's pages: demo on request; prices by quote.
